The 70th night of protests in Sofia began with hundreds of protesters gathering in front of the new parliament building, calling for the resignation of the prime minister and the attorney general.

Around 7.30 pm, the tension that arose in front of the National Assembly diminished after the mothers of “The system kills us” and Maya Manolova and her associates, who refused to leave, were taken out of the new Parliament building.

Traditionally, traffic on Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. was closed, where the so-called A Poisonous Trio is carrying out their actions against the government, BNR reports.

A request was heard from the protest platform for the president of the National Assembly, Tsveta Karayancheva, to resign.

Previously, protesters at the entrance to the parliament building on Dondukov Blvd., from where those who refused to leave the building were killed by System Kills Us and other organizations, merged with those who traditionally gathered around the fountain in front of The presidency. Because of what happened in the parliament building, tonight eggs were thrown at its facade, where images of the protest are projected.

The protesters said that the NSO had used force against peaceful protesters (in the National Assembly) and that the protest was their constitutional right. There was also a call for the president to resign due to today’s events and not wait for “a third case of this type, which will be fatal.”

The protest ended again with the Bulgarian anthem, played in the context of the projected logo of the third “Great Popular Uprising”, scheduled for September 22, which has a three-headed lion against the background of the Bulgarian tricolor. The protesters were called in to prepare for the protest, then marched in their traditional march towards Eagle Bridge.
