Tsenka Doseva, 82, continues to see patients
The oldest nurse in Bulgaria is 82 years old and is from the village of Podvis in Sungurlar. Sister Tsenka Doseva has been “on the front lines” for 64 years and even in the conditions of a pandemic she does not refuse to take care of people’s health.
The couple, married for 64 years, died the same day.
She began working in the town of Podvis in 1956 for 82-year-old nurse Tsenka Doseva and to this day she does not leave her patients without care, not even in pandemic conditions. While she was a younger sister, Doseva also traveled to neighboring villages as part of social care. Now she takes care of the elderly in the village, where a doctor comes once a week.
The nurse has known most of her patients since childhood. She has taken care of their health as a personal cause, that is why she continues to help them day by day. And they have been working with the current mayor of Sungurlare since 1983.
What is the secret of Japanese longevity?
“A large percentage of a patient’s therapy is the attitude with which she treats him, the way she treats him. She is available 24 hours, she has not turned anyone away during the years that she worked,” said Dr. Georgi Kenov.
In addition to respecting people, the 82-year-old nurse has a healthy family, children and grandchildren, so she wants the most important thing: “To be healthy, to walk.”
