The strong Zagreb earthquake in March caused serious material damage and changed the lives of many people in the Croatian capital, reports Darik.

Especially for those who are waiting for the reconstruction of their homes, as well as for the citizens living in constant fear of a new future and strong earthquake in Zagreb, writes the information portal “Index”.

Several tremors were reported in Zagreb tonight and this morning.

Tomislav Fiket of the Croatian Seismological Service says he is used to and is not impressed by earthquakes in the country. Of course, each person reacts differently and there is no one-size-fits-all solution, because nothing can be done during an earthquake, nor can you predict how long it will last, he said.

According to Fiket, the energy released during the March earthquake will continue to slowly weaken and therefore weak tremors will be felt for some time.

He warned that there is a possibility that Zagreb will be further shaken by the earthquake in March, as this is not the maximum energy that can be released in the capital area.

The Zagreb area is a 6.3 to 6.5 earthquake on the Richter scale, which is about 30 times stronger than the March 22 earthquake. According to the seismologist, Dubrovnik could be the victim of an earthquake of magnitude up to 7.
