A counter-protest will take place in parallel with today’s protest in Sofia. The actions will not take place temporarily in front of the towers of the National Palace of Culture, but only in front of the Romanian embassy.
The organizers of the demonstrations against the president and against the blockades in the capital have announced to the Municipality of Sofia and the Ministry of the Interior that they temporarily suspend their protests in front of the National Palace of Culture.
Tonight, an action in front of the Romanian Embassy is scheduled for 8 pm, and the aim is to prevent the crossing of Sitnyakovo Boulevard from being blocked. Citizens from different neighborhoods continue to arrive here who want to sign the signatures that the organizers released a few days ago, one for the impeachment of President Radev and the other against the blocking of key crossings in the capital. The media informed the participants about the attack on one of the organizers of the protest against the blockades, Georgi Florov.
The counter-protesters did not hide their outrage, believing that the president, whom they call a “disintegrator of the nation”, was at the root of such acts and called on him to differentiate himself.
