The secretary of the national operational headquarters, associate professor Dimo Dimov, presented the current data regarding the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
1,777 samples were tested for the day. A total of 56,105, which refers to 1 million of the population is 8015. They have been identified 46 newly infected with coronavirus in the country, 22 of them are in the hospital.
Active areas are 11, like a new district is Targovishte.
The total number of laboratory confirmed cases are 1911.
16 of the new cases are in Sofia. 8 of them are in medical institutions in Sofia and 8 are outpatients. There are 11 cases in Yambol. In Pleven – 7 new cases, in Vidin there are 3, in Blagoevgrad – 2. In Kardzhali, Kyustendil, Montana, Razgrad and Targovishte there is one case each.
A case of repositioning of a coronavirus infection has been established in Kardzhali. Similar cases have been found in several other countries. According to WHO experts, this is not a new infection, but rather a repositioning of a coronavirus that has migrated to the lower respiratory tract.
To the cases of medical personnel, which are 206 in total, are added 5 new ones: 4 for doctors and 1 for a nurse. Two of them are in “Pirogov”, one in the Military Medical Academy, in Plovdiv, one and in Vidin one.
There are 21 freshly cured. The total number of survivors of the virus is 422. There are 6 from the Military Medical Academy, “Pirogov” – two, outpatients – 10, Sliven Burgas and Kyustendil announced a newly cured patient.
The death toll is already 88. There are two new cases in addition to the two announced yesterday. By day, these are: an 84-year-old “Pirogov” man with high blood pressure, cerebrovascular disease, and ischemic stroke, a 52-year-old Yambol woman with high blood pressure and angina symptoms, an 86-year-old man from Blagoevgrad with diabetes, ischemic heart disease, and a 74-year-old man from a Sofia hospital with cancer.
For the moment 380 patients are hospitalized in the country. 49 of them are in intensive care units.
