The 43-year-old disappeared 29 days ago after a meeting with former Galevi brothers guard Vasil Kaplanov-Kaplata. He was placed under house arrest after being arrested for illegal possession of ammunition.
Kaplanov admitted that he put the man in his car and then let him go.
His wife, whom they divorced, Petya Nikolova, was also questioned. She was released. Nikolova was advised not to undergo a lie detector test. The woman also quit her job at a hairdresser in Dupnitsa.
Janek’s neighbors have been waiting 29 days for her to return. For some, the reaction of the authorities has been delayed.
Yesterday, among the detainees was another relative of the Galevi brothers – Vladimir Angelov – the Cup. On the door of his apartment there was a note saying that he was at sea in Greece, but the authorities found him. After questioning, he was released.
Kaplata has a scandalous reputation in Dupnitsa. Years ago, we received a signal from a man who had returned from abroad that he had been beaten by him.
And the local press recalls another case in which, after a scandal over the purchase price of cherries, a local boss complains that Kaplata beat him and pulled out his teeth. However, research officially proves that the cause of missing teeth is periodontitis.
