ANTONIA PARVANOVA

How can the state deal with the severe COVID crisis and its consequences? Such discussion raises the “24 hours” to give the floor to all who can help with ideas and measures. We ask 3 questions to all the parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition formations, as well as medical experts with opinions different from that of the headquarters.

We were the first to ask President Rumen Radev, who, however, did not give specific answers, but only criticized the cabinet.

Cornelia Ninova was the first of the political leaders to send us responses, a day after she was discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for the virus. Republicans for Bulgaria and their leader Tsvetan Tsvetanov also gave a position. Now we present to you that of the former tsarist deputy and health expert Antonia Parvanova, who together with a group of doctors who have a different opinion from the official one on the spread of COVID-19 and measures against infection, create their own medical alliance. Associate Professor Atanas Mangarov also participates.

Slavi Trifonov’s party “There is such a state” refused to answer these questions, arguing that in the current situation of coronary crisis there are enough specialists in health and economics, whose opinion should be heard by the government.

The MRF also declined to answer our questions.

Expect responses from other political forces in the coming days.

Stop the asymptomatic test wants the former royal deputy

– What is the most urgent thing for the State to do in this pandemic situation?

– Scientific and reliable information on COVID-19 in the country must be ordered. The PCR test should be stopped in asymptomatic people due to accidental outbreaks. At this stage of a widespread epidemic, this leads to data distortion. Efforts should focus on managing chaos in the care of patients with flu-like symptoms. It is necessary to review the general organization of the health processes related to COVID-19, as well as the influenza epidemic for the autumn-winter season. All the structures of the system must function in a coordinated and simple way for patients as well as for doctors and medical institutions. The mechanisms of unnecessary hospitalizations and overload of emergency care must be stopped.

– What are the government’s mistakes?

– Government actions are wrong in all areas from the beginning in terms of identification and control of single outbreaks, prevention of the spread of infection, balanced distribution of functions in different units: general practitioners, pre-hospital care, hospitals and designated RHI for treatment, protection of medical personnel, interpretation of statistical data, application of measures with scientifically proven effect, incl. purchase of medicines and medical equipment, adequate economic measures. And his communication strategy is for a prosecutor to instill fear and panic among people.

– What measures do you propose to deal with the coronary crisis?

– Extract the real data on morbidity and mortality from influenza and acute respiratory diseases in the influenza season in the last 20 years, compare the results and strengthen those units that can and each year deal with influenza epidemics.

Special measures should be taken for places where there are outbreaks, such as hospitals or nursing homes. As was done in Vidin and Dobrich hospitals, which after a total rehabilitation and reorganization of the flow of patients are now in the orange zone.

GPs should be more actively involved and deal with milder cases.

RHIs, rather than dealing with inspections and fines, should be included in a training campaign that reaches out to all groups in society through the appropriate communication channels and aims at positive motivation to prevent infection. And not by instilling fear or generating institutional and administrative misunderstandings that lead to negative attitudes and the boycott of measures.

The educational process should be resumed as soon as possible and the previously established rules for flu holidays should be observed.

The solution for the economy is a faster return to normalcy. No compensatory economic measure can be as effective as real business.
