“At this time, it is extremely important to provide beds for all Bulgarian citizens who need hospital treatment,” Prime Minister Borissov said. “We must act quickly and decisively.”

Subsequently, the Minister of Health clarified that these are medical institutions in Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Varna and Plovdiv, as well as hospitals with more than 600-700 beds.

The hospitals in Sofia, which will open wards with 200 beds, are “St. Anna”, “Sofiamed”, “Tokuda”, Alexandrovska, “Pirogov” and the Academy of Military Medicine.

In addition, at the government meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Mariana Nikolova, reported that the industry has expressed its willingness to provide hotel beds as soon as possible. They will be available throughout the country, and health authorities will decide how they will be used. Hotels will be offered until the end of today.
