2023 are the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our country according to data from the national operational headquarters, as of 5 pm, today, May 12. Today 19 more new cases have been tried: in the districts: 3 in Blagoevgrad, 3 in Pernik and 13 in Sofia. The laboratories continue to operate.

365 are people with confirmed COVID-19, housed in medical facilities. 51 of them are in intensive care units and clinics.

218 were medical personnel with confirmed coronavirus infection, or 11% of all identified cases of COVID-19.

Regarding the general image: 981 of the registered cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria are for men and 1042 for women. The mean age of those diagnosed with coronavirus infection was 50 years.

A total of 95 people died from COVID-19. A 43-year-old man with DIC syndrome and diabetes died at Pazardzhik Regional Hospital. An 83-year-old woman from the nursing home in the village of Gara Oreshets died at Vratsa Hospital. The patient had a malignancy and a stroke.

The Ministry of Health expresses its condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased.
