A column of more than 15 km of cars has formed around 335 km on the Trakia highway in the direction of Burgas, a reporter from 24 Chasa saw.

Burgas police told BNR that the cause of the jam was a chain accident.

The Highways Agency announced that temporarily the traffic at km 142 of “Trakia” in the direction of Bourgas is done in the active lane due to another traffic accident..

According to initial data, the causes of the chain accident are inadequate speed and non-compliance with the distance. So far there is no data on the victims, but only on material damage, according to the Ministry of the Interior – Plovdiv.

Traffic is also temporarily restricted at km 37 from the Trakia Highway in the direction of Plovdiv due to a traffic accident. Traffic is redirected on I-8 Sofia – Ihtiman highway through the city of Ihtiman to the “Muhovo” highway connection and is connected to the “Trakia” highway. RIA advises drivers to drive with proper speed and caution.

Five people died and 43 were injured in 33 serious accidents in the country during the last 24 hours. This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of the Interior.

In Sofia there were two serious and 24 minor traffic accidents, in which two people were injured.
