Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks star and NBA MVP candidate, escaped the team’s win over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night after he headbutted an opponent.
Antetokounmpo and Wizards player Moe Wagner started talking to each other as the Bucks challenged a call. Antetokounmpo approached Wagner and beat him. The best player of the league was kicked out of the game in the second quarter.

After the game, Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said tension had sown between the two teams throughout the game.
“This is nothing new,” Budenholzer said. “Giannis has been busy here for a long time. He’s the MVP. He is normally phenomenal and was a slip-up today. Somehow it could be one of the best things that happened today as a learning moment. We will all remember that we need to keep cool – players and coaches. ”
