Gymnasts Antitocoun Nampo and Milwaukee had a tough time as Jimmy Butler and Co. in the second-round series against the Miami Heat, sending the top-ranked team to the East in five matches. Given those circumstances, personal honor is the most distant thing in one’s mind.

But it’s the awards season, and just before Game 1 of Friday’s Western Conference Conference final, Giannis has been declared the NBA MVP for the second straight season, as the first report Adrian Wozniacki of ESPN And then confirmed by the league. He is the first player to go back-to-back after being staggered in 2015 and 2016, and is the 11th L-time to complete the feat. Antatocoun Nampo defeated James Harden of the Rockets and LeBron James of the Lakers for the award.

Supported by the arrival of Mike Budenholzer and his five-out system, Giannis took his game to new heights last year. Then, somehow, he played better. He averaged 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds – both career-high – 5.6 assists, and steals and one block per game.

Along the way, he held the Boxes to a hold-12 record before the season stopped, and at one point chased them to an a0-winning club. With Giannini leading, Milwaukee was seventh in offense, and led the league by a huge margin in defense, limiting opponents to 102.5 points per 100 yards.

For his efforts on that side of the floor, Genius was also named Defensive Player of the Year for the first time in his career. With the confirmation of his MVP award, he is now only the third player to take home both trophies in the same year, joining Michael Jordan and Hakim Olajuwon.

But as impressive as it is, there is another trophy that Giannis is eager to add to his collection. To get it, he will need to lead the Bucs to a qualifying comeback for MVP.
