BTS has broken YouTube’s record for the highest number of viewers for the premiere of a video. The first English song by the K-Pop group Dynamite received 3 million live viewers, twice the audience counts the second-highest premiere ever, according to Variety Friday.
Dynamite is also on track to break the record for most views in the first 24 hours of a YouTube music video debut – starting at 3:35 PT. On Friday, the video was viewed more than 83 million times, 19 hours after its premiere. The current record holder is K-Pop group Blackpink with How You Like That, which received 86.3 million views in the first 24 hours.
It may take a little longer to crack the record for most-watched music videos, however, which is currently held by Despacito, with 6.9 billion views.
