Bryson DeChambeau favored to win Masters at Caesars

Bryson DeChambeau is now the favorite to win the Masters at Caesars Sportsbook.

DeChambeau capped a series of six straight top-10 results with a victory in the Rocket Mortgage Classic over the weekend, prompting bookmakers to overtake Rory McIlroy and become the Masters favorite with a probability from 10-1.

McIlroy is 12-1, followed by Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka, each with 14-1, and Justin Thomas with 15-1. Defending Masters champion Tiger Woods is 16-1, with Dustin Johnson 17-1 and Jordan Spieth 18-1.

The PGA Championship is the next major event on the revised tour schedule, scheduled to begin on August 6 at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. The SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas has DeChambeau listed as the favorite to win the PGA Championship 10-1.

The Masters, which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, is scheduled to begin Nov. 12 at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. DeChambeau’s best result in the Masters is 21 in 2016, but Augusta National has not seen his new game reinforced.

DeChambeau, who entered the 2020 PGA Tour season 30-1 to win the Masters, has been beating the tee after adding £ 20 to his frame during the three-month layoff from golf due to the pandemic. He averaged 350.6 yards from the tee during his victory in the Rocket Mortgage Classic, the longest by a PGA winner, according to the PGA Tour.
