Bruins’ David Pastrnak sings Maple Leafs and Justin Bieber with an edited Instagram post

The NHL can restart the season in Canada, but Boston Bruins’ David Pastrnak is unwilling to give up the ice advantage at home so easily.

The 24-year-old Czech winger has participated in the Bruins’ first team practice since coming to the NHL bubble in Toronto on Monday and marked the occasion with an Instagram post.

In addition to remarkably practicing proper security protocols, Pastrnak edited the image to cross out the Toronto Maple Leafs logo on the locker room.

He took the joke one step further by tweeting the edited photo and tagging Justin Bieber, a former Leafs fan.

Pastrnak missed the first two days of camp after being determined “not fit to play.” Tuesday revealed why. He had returned to the Czech Republic when the season was on hold and had to be quarantined for two weeks upon returning to the United States, NESN reported.

He was forced to quarantine for an additional 14 days after he broke league security protocols and went to a track in Malden, Massachusetts, to practice with Bruins forward Endrej Kase.

Pastrnak was able to travel with the team to Toronto on Sunday, where the Eastern Conference games will be played. He is currently tied with Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin for the NHL’s leading scorer with 48 goals.
