Bruce Arians under the impression of old version of Rob Gronkowski

Bruce Arians has not been Rob Gronkowski for a long time, since he decided to retire and reunite with Tom Brady in Tampa.

So far, however, Arians have seen the same Gronkowski who dominated the NFL with the New England Patriots several years ago.

The injuries, Arians said Thursday, are a thing of the past.

‘The back surgeons are healed. That he had healed for a year, “Arians told ESPN. “He sees me like he was five or six years ago.”

Gronkowski retired after the 2018 season and did not play in 2019, although he opted to partner with the quarterback who helped him compile a Hall of Fame-worthy career.

The 31-year-old recorded just 682 yards and three touchdowns on 47 receptions in his final season in the league, significantly less than normal for the five-time Pro Bowler.

While Arians was under the impression of Gronkowski, he picked up one thing he still needed to work on.

‘He’s probably in New England form at the moment. He is not in Florida form, “Arians said Monday, laughing. “The heat beats his ass pretty well.”

Gronk not ‘move like poop’

Arians is also not alone in his assessment.

According to the man himself, it does physically great.

“I feel good there,” Gronkowski told ESPN. “My body feels good – that’s why I came back to the game, and that’s how I want to move. I want to move like I did back in the day, no doubt about that.

‘Why … would I want to go back to the game and move like poop? I’m here to move. I’m here to make plays. ”

Gronkowski’s role with the team is still in question, and rightly so. He actually has a whole year free from the game, and has to learn a whole new system for actually the first time since he joined the league in 2010.

The Bucs also have an impressive group of close ends, as OJ Howard and Cameron Brate can help shrug off the loads.

According to Gronkowski, however, there is no reason why he can not always be on the field.

“I’ll play the whole game if I have to,” he told ESPN. ‘I do not see why that would be the problem. I have at least not played a snap in my career yet. ”
