Browns vs. Ravens score: Lamar Jackson pulls off a draw to lead Baltimore to a thrilling win over Cleveland

On “Monday Night Footbal.” Jackson, who temporarily left the game in the fourth quarter, engineered two late scoring drives after returning to the game. Marquez Brown temporarily gave the Ravens the lead with his 44-yard touchdown pass. His four completions on Baltimore’s last drive left Justin Tucker’s game-winning 55-yard field goal with two seconds left.

With the win, Baltimore turned the season into a series against Cleveland while the season improved to 8-5. The Ravens remain alive in the AFC playoff picture, while the Browns (9-4) failed to field an 11-2 Steelers to take first place in the AFC North.

Both teams made a touchdown on the opening drive. The Browns ’81-yard drive was stopped by Nick Chubb with a seven-yard touchdown run. Lamar Jackson’s five-yard touchdown ended six minutes later with Baltimore’s 73-yard drive. In the middle of the second quarter, Gus Edwards’ 11-yard touchdown run gave the Ravens their first lead. Baltimore’s lead didn’t last long, however, as the Browns tied the score on Chubb’s 14-yard touchdown on Cleveland’s next offensive possession.

Jackson’s 44-yard run ran less than three minutes into the third quarter from Edwards’ 19-yard touchdown. And the Ravens’ eight-point lead was temporarily streamlined by Karim Hunt’s five-yard touchdown run, with Jake Dobbins scoring a one-yard lead in Mayfield’s Tys Bowers, as Baltimore took a 34-20 lead in the fourth quarter.

Cleveland rallied in the fourth quarter. They made a six-point game in the fourth down game to fourth-down rounder Higgins on Mayfield’s 21-yard touchdown pass in less than two minutes in the quarter. Brown then took the lead in his front possession, with Mayfield retaining himself for a five-yard score.

Jackson, who missed almost two full series with the stretch, threw Brown down to touchdown pass on the fourth in his first game. Jackson’s brilliance was matched quickly by Maxfield, who tied Hard with a 1-yard remaining score with a 22-yard throw. Eventually Browse had plenty of time left for Jackson, whose four completions for 38 yards set Tucker a game-winning field goal.
