For both iOS and Android, an update to the YouTube mobile app is just being rolled out and has shown some useful improvements to the user experience on the app. Android Central reports that the YouTube app will get some new gestures for full-screen mode and a video chapter list, among other new features. The new gesture that YouTube will navigate on the mobile app this time focuses on full-screen mode: you can now enter full-screen mode with one swipe up and turn it off with a swipe down.

In addition, YouTube is expanding its Video Chapters feature which will now show a full list of chapters included in the video and a preview thumbnail of the chapter that interests you. To find the full list of chapters, you have to tap or click on the chapter title.
What’s more, captions in videos will now move to their location and the option for them will become more popular in the YouTube mobile app. With this slightly redesigned app in the app, you’ll find an autoplay tag at the top of the player, again making the user experience easier and more intuitive.
The update is launching today, October 27th, on iOS and Android.
