For Brie Larson, Captain Marvel was more than a movie role.
The 30-year-old Oscar winner launched a YouTube channel on Thursday because she discovered that the platform “is the place to talk about things that matter.”
In his first video, Larson said he plans to use his channel to create “deep conversations, anti-racist rhetoric.” [and] inclusive content. “

The rest of the video was similarly set up to show how most talk shows work these days, with virtual conversations between the “Room” star and other Internet personalities.
During the 21-minute video titled “So I Made a Decision …” Larson talked about how taking the lead role in “Captain Marvel” helped improve his mental health.
“For me, my starting point has been that I am an introvert with asthma. That has been my story for me. I am an introvert, I am afraid, I am socially anxious ”, she admitted. “And in particular, playing Captain Marvel, those kinds of titles erased those titles that I had for me and made me say, ‘Whoa, I’m not really that anymore.'”
Since joining the Marvel family, Larson said she found that “talking, telling my story, talking about things that scare me has helped her a lot.”

The “Short Term 12” star has appeared twice in Marvel movies as Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, including “Avengers: Endgame,” the highest-grossing movie of all time, unadjusted for inflation. Additionally, a sequel to her solo adventure is in the works and is currently slated for a release in 2022.
In his YouTube debut, Larson also admitted to missing roles in other great movie franchises.
“I auditioned for ‘Star Wars,’ I auditioned for ‘Hunger Games,’ I auditioned for the ‘Terminator’ reboot,” he recalled. It was like, ‘Oh, the last time I had a flat tire was when I was driving my audition for ‘Terminator’, I got a flat tire on the audition and then I didn’t get the job. ‘”
Things went well for the actress after winning an Oscar and appearing in two different multi-billion dollar movies, and now, a successful YouTube channel with more than 69,000 subscribers on its first day.
