BREAKING: Performers Return to Walt Disney World – Actors’ Equity Association Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Disney


The artists we know and love have gotten it very clear from the Actors’ Equity Association to be able to return to Walt Disney World after a long run without shows during the first revival of the parks.

The Actors’ Equity Association, the national union representing more than 51,000 professional actors and stage managers in live theater, issued the following statement regarding reports that Walt Disney World has agreed to provide space for a COVID on-site center. tested at Walt Disney World.

As stated in the press release, the Memorandum of Understanding was established based on a new COVID-19 test site that opened on the site at Walt Disney World Resort, in Disney’s Maingate Complex. Many Walt Disney World artists have sought to return to work since the theme park shutdown, even launching a #BringBacktheMagic campaign after the parks reopened. We expect to see the return of shows and live entertainment as health and safety guidelines allow it in the coming weeks.
