The Path: a Breaking Bad movie Actor Johnny Ortiz faces a life in prison sentence for attempted murder.
The actor pleads not guilty to the charges of “deliberate, deliberate and premeditated assassination attempt” following an alleged crime on May 24.
The crime, according to Deadline, was “for the benefit of, under the leadership and in association with a criminal street gang with the specific intention of promoting, promoting, and assisting in the criminal conduct of gang members.”
Ortiz, along with co-defendant Armando Miguel Navarro, has been accused of trying to kill a man named Brian Duke.
Ortiz’s family has created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the actor’s bonus, saying he is “in jail fighting for his innocent case.”
Ortiz could go to jail for 25 years to life in state prison, under the California Penal Code; The preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 22.
Johnny Ortiz played Busboy on The way alongside Aaron Paul as Jessie Pinkman, and also starred in the 2015 Disney movie McFarland United States alongside Kevin Costner.
