The Atlanta Braves announced several moves on the roster ahead of Wednesday’s opening of hope against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Braves reinstated receivers Travis d’Arnaud and Tyler Flowers make the COVID list. They had both been sidelined since opening day when they started showing symptoms. They both returned to practice on Tuesday and are now ready to start.
The team also retired outfielder Scott Schebler that they acquired last week in an exchange with the Reds. All three will be active and available for tonight’s game.
The club also activated OF Scott Schebler to the list of 30 men. To make room on the active roster, the Braves opted for C Alex Jackson, C William Contreras and RHP Chad Sobotka to the alternate training site.

To make room on the 30-man roster, William Contreras, Alex Jackson and reliever Chad Sobotka were all opted for the team’s alternate training site at Gwinnett. Contreras had an impressive debut with the club as Jackson snapped his hitless streak in Tuesday’s loss to the Rays. Sobotka was added to the list after Mike Foltynewicz was designated for assignment. He did not appear in Tuesday’s loss.
