TMZ revealed the story … Bonnie, one of the OGs of the wildly popular sister group in the 70s, died earlier this month. Her sister,. Anita, he told us: “It is with great sadness that I have to announce to fans of The Pointer Sisters that my sister, Bonnie, died this morning. Our family is devastated, on behalf of my brothers and myself and the entire Pointer family, we ask your prayers right now.“
Bonnie is best known for her cover of “Heaven Must Have Send You,” which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She won a Grammy for Best Voice of a Duo or Group in the Country Category for her hit “Fairytale”.
She was 69 years old.
