De Bollinger B2 pickup truck design is one of the most versatile and compatible work trucks designed for production, with cool features such as a throughput tunnel that tunnels right through the front of the car. Now the startup wants to apply that versatility to vans.

The new Bollinger Deliver-E is a goofy name for the new fan platform of startup EV automaker built with components – such as the inverters, battery units, motors, etc. – as the B1 and B2 SUV and pickup. Unlike those cars, however, the ordering platform will be available with front wheel.

Here is more detail about the new project from the company’s press release:

The front-wheel drive, fully electric DELIVER-E platform will be designed to fit Classes 2B, 3, 4, and 5.

The total cost of ownership (TCO) within each class is significantly lower than gas and diesel versions on the road today.

A wide selection of battery packs will be available, including 70, 105, 140, 175, and 210 kWh. Combined with variable wheelbase lengths, the fleet customer will have a wide range of mileage range and pricing options to suit their specific needs.

Bollinger also promises that the ordering platform will allow an 18-inch floor load with low load and a high-strength steel frame “designed for a 10-year durability purpose.” Look at the pictures … can this thing make it up a hill in San Francisco without falling backwards?

The vans will be produced by a “production partner”, although Bollinger has not yet announced how it will produce just one of its new fleet of electric cars. I wonder what they are telling companies that are interested in buying a fleet of vans who want to know where they are coming from?

Electric vans seem to be a thriving new market opportunity for every automaker, with Mercedes-Benz developing multiple EV Sprinter short-range vans for Europe, and American startup Rivian managing a large electric delivery van with Amazon. The commercial market offers enormous production cost reductions and large volume guarantees for a growing automaker.

If you’re the type of person who’s thinking, ‘I just want the cool chassis to play with, right now? Bollinger has already offered its truck and SUV platform just for that. You could even build your own delivery van! Good luck.
