BOB in Grand Rapids to close after employees test positive for coronavirus

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The BOB announced today via Facebook that they will be temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The BOB has not set a date to return, but we hope to be back in business as soon as possible.

“The safety of our staff and guests is our top priority, so we will exercise extreme caution and close the BOB temporarily,” the BOB said in its Facebook statement. “A professional deep cleaning is currently underway throughout the building. All BOB employees known to have worked with this employee are testing for COVID-19 and we are following up on contacts.”

BOB believes the employee may have been exposed and contracted COVID as early as June 11 or 12 at Gilly’s Smokehouse or BOB’s Beer Garden.

The BOB advises that, in an effort to ensure the safety of restaurant workers and patrons of all, it is essential that restaurant visitors everywhere wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines when choosing to dine out.

Weddings and special events scheduled at The BOB during the month of July have not been canceled as of Sunday. If you have questions or concerns, the BOB advises you to follow up directly with your event coordinator.

If you have questions about a recent visit to The BOB, please email [email protected] directly for information.
