BMW Championship 2020 Leaderboard: Live Coverage, Golf Scores, FedEx Cup, Tiger Woods Scores Today in Round 1

The 2020 BMW Championship at Olympia Fields starts on Thursday, and it should be a great one, considering the complexity of the course and the breadth of the players involved. Dustin Johnson comes in the lead of the FedEx Cup standings with just eight rounds left in the playoffs, but Justin Thomas – the defending champion at this tournament – is just on his heels. There are plenty of players just outside of them – Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy and Sungjae Im among them – looking to jump the No. 1 slot in the standings, next week in the Tour Championship (whoever is No. 1 will start it tour championship at 10 under).

Tiger Woods is a bit further back and needs a top-six finish on Sunday to make it to the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club. With the way he hit last week at The Northern Trust, I would not pass that up this week because everyone picks it up just outside Chicago. There’s a lot at stake at this no-cut event, and I can promise that the winning score on this tough track will not be 30 below like last week. But still, just like how it went a few days ago at TPC Boston, without a doubt the best of the best will emerge with only two events left in the 2019-20 PGA Tour season.
