Black through PS Cold War Challenge has become available for sledgehammer players to unleash. However, the error is resetting the player’s progress, preventing him from getting a melee weapon.
Black Ps Cold War x War Zone Season 1 is in progress, which means you have a lot of new weapons available. The sledgehammer is another Cold War melee weapon that you can now unlock.
If you want to get your hands on it, you need to complete a challenge that doubles with your knife. The difficulty of this task is exacerbated by a glue that is resetting players’ progress without any prior warning.
Sledgehammer error keeps resetting player progress
For specific dimensions of the challenge you need to score 15 double kills with a knife in separate matches. Completing this in multiplayer, warzone or zombies should unlock the sledgehammer, but this is not working properly.
Many players have reported the game randomly resetting their progress when they were in the game. This resumed the whole challenge, and prevented them from acquiring weapons.

Reddit user Klinks wrote: “I was trying to challenge and reached 10/15 but when I checked my progress it was 5/15. It’s not a big deal but it’s still annoying. ”
This error is frustrating and makes the whole challenge feel like an unnecessary grind. You can still use the Sledgehammer Blueprint if you haven’t unlocked it, but it’s in a pack of 20 packs, and you won’t get any weapon level progress until you complete the challenge.
How to get around a sledgehammer bug
The exact cause of this problem is not yet known, but some players have suggested playing a full game on all 15 destroys so as not to reset your progress in the challenge. A useful tip came from donny126.
“Everyone. You have to play the whole game on all 15 or it resets your progress. In fact you have to play a game after 15 where you equip it and also play for the finish if you want to make sure it doesn’t disappear. Game Ducked “
Few players have tried this solution, and it seems to have worked. It won’t be easy, so you’ll need to take that double kilo fast. The best way to do that is to play with a knife in Nucketown ’84 as your primary.
Also make sure you have the right class equipped to get a drop on your enemies, such as a ninja or tracker. This map is small enough for you to face enemies on a frequent basis, so be prepared for a fight. Doing this will eventually get you a sledgehammer.
Although this problem is being faced by many players in the community, there is no planned upgrade to this for Black Ps to be listed on the Cold War Trail Board. So fans have to stick to using the workround for a while.
It is possible that Treyark and Raven’s software are not yet aware of the bug. Hopefully, they will announce an improvement for it soon, and we’ll make sure to update you when we do.
