One surprising announcement during the seventh panel of DC Fandome’s “Black Adam” on Saturday was that the Justice Society of America will be introduced in the film. Dwayne Johnson, who plays the titular Black Adam, was joined by his co-star Noah Centineo, who plays the enemy of Black Adam Atom Smasher, to open the news.
In an animated tease, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Cyclone were announced as the fellow JSA members of Atom Smasher who will appear in the film.
“I have a chance to destroy bullying, but there are some who think I need help,” Johnson said as Black Adam. Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and their new recruits: Cyclone and Atom Smasher. They call themselves the Justice Society, an organization that believes in fighting for truth and justice. Well, I’ll teach her that the only beliefs for whom I fight are for me. Welcome to truth, justice and the Black Adam way. ”
The Justice Society of America is a popular superhero team introduced by DC Comics in 1940. Originally Green Lantern, Atom, Flash, Hawkman, Hour-Man, Specter, Sandman and Doctor Fate were included, there were scores of other members and iterations of the group through the years in comic books.
For the uninitiated, Doctor Fate is a magician, Cyclone manipulates the wind, Atom Smasher can grow up and Hawkman flies and kills things with a magic mace.

The night before the digital panel, Johnson gave a tease of his character’s costume. “Black Adam” is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2021.
