WASHINGTON – Democrat JB Biden told supporters early Wednesday that he is confident of winning the presidential election.

“I’m optimistic about the outcome,” Biden said, smiling in Wilmington, Delaware. “We are confident about Arizona” and Minnesota.

“We’re still in the Georgia game, although it’s not the one we expected … and we feel really good about Wisconsin and Michigan.”

Biden said he is also confident “we will win Pennsylvania.”

Millions of legally absent and mail-in ballots have not been counted, especially in the major states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, the three states that count first as individual votes, then absentee votes.

“Because of the unprecedented mail-in vote and the early vote, he knew it would take some time,” Biden said, “and we have to be patient, and it’s not over until every vote is counted.” “

As of 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, NBC News estimated that Biden received 205 election votes, while President Donald Trump won 171.

The evening was a roller-coaster ride for Republicans and Democrats, as Trump won the states he needed to win, but failed to take his broad route to 270 electoral votes.

With predictable victories in the war-torn states of Florida, Ohio and North Carolina, Trump has rejected Biden’s landslide predictions. But full results are yet to come in other key states, including Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

Trump has spent months in half a dozen states with legal and political grounds challenging the results, which continue to count absentee ballots past election day.

While Biden was speaking, Trump falsely accused Democrats of trying to “steal the election.”

“We’re big, but they’re trying to steal the election. We’ll never let them do that. Voting can’t be done after the polls close!” He tweeted.
