The survey, conducted by St. Anselm College, represents a slight pinch in Biden’s support in the state – he previously led Trump by 7 points in a previous St Anselm poll in June.

Just over half of New Hampshire’s registered voters, 51 percent, support Biden, while the president sits at 43 percent support. Other candidates including third parties sat at just 4 per cent support in the poll, while 2 per cent of the voters surveyed were undecided.

The perception of voters who will really win the elections in 2020 is divided. Forty-five percent of those surveyed told pollsters they believed Trump would win, and the same percentage said they believed Biden would win.

The St Anselm College survey surveyed 1,042 registered voters in New Hampshire August 15-17; the margin of error of the interview is 3 percentage points.
