East CNBC According to the Change Research Poll, following the first presidential debate in 2020 and the President’s diagnosis with Covid-19, former Vice President J B Biden leads President Donald Trump in six swing states.
In major states such as Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Democratic nominees receive 50% support, compared to 45% for a Republican position. In a poll two weeks ago, Biden had a 49% to 45% edge over Trump in six states.
Biden has an advantage in each of the six states, although North Carolina has its smallest lead. Here are the races in two states, including a change in Biden’s lead two weeks ago:
- Arizona: Biden 51%, Trump 45% (no change in lead)
- Florida: Biden 50%, Trump 46% (+1)
- Michigan: Biden 51%, Trump 43% (no change in lead)
- North Carolina: Biden 49%, Trump 47% (no change in lead)
- Pennsylvania: Biden 50%, Trump 46% (no change in lead)
- Wisconsin: Biden 51%, Trump 44% (-2)
The poll surveyed 2,688 potential voters in six states from Friday to Sunday and has an error margin of plus or minus 1.89 percentage points.

The survey found a steady race of less than a month to go to election day on Nov. Biden is ahead of Trump in the most crucial states in the election, however, by a margin that the president could potentially overcome.
The findings of the CNBC / Change Research poll follow the first presidential debate, a free one held a week ago. Voters were surveyed after Trump’s coronavirus diagnosis, which he announced early Friday morning.
Regarding the health of the president, sw૨% of potential swing-state voters said they had serious concerns, while 48% said they were not. Trump returned to the White House Monday night after receiving treatment at Luther Reed National Military Medical Center, although his doctor warned that “he may not be out of the woods yet.”
Only 39% said they think Trump took proper precautions not to expose himself to the virus, while 55% said he failed to do so. Seventy-five percent of respondents said they believe Biden has taken appropriate steps to avoid exposure.
Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated during the last two weeks. In six states, 72% said they had serious concerns about Covid-19, up from 65% in the previous survey.
When asked about the effects of coronavirus, 40% said they think things are getting better, while 42% said they believe things are getting worse. In a previous survey, 46% of voters said they believed the situation was improving, while 34% thought it was getting worse.
Voters in Wisconsin are the most pessimistic, having endured the recent ambiguity of the infection. Week% of people in the state said this week that they believe the effects of the outbreak are getting worse.
Swing-state voters continue to give Trump weak marks on how he has managed the epidemic. Only 46% of respondents allow how it is handling coronavirus, while 54% disapprove.
The majority – 53% – said they believe Biden and Democrats would do a better job of controlling the virus, as opposed to 47% who chose Trump and Republicans.
The president has denied the severity of the disease in recent days, but even after he received experimental treatment in a hospital, his White House staff and campaign advisers erupted and the American death toll peaked at 210,000.
In a video posted on Twitter Monday night, Trump told Americans not to let the virus “dominate” their lives. As he still tries to fight the infection, Trump claimed he may be “immune” to the disease.
