Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is currently leading President Donald Trump across five major battlefield states, with his largest lead up to 12 points, according to a new poll.
The survey, conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies, found Biden leading Trump in Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
According to the poll, Biden’s biggest lead comes in Michigan, as 50 percent of respondents said they would vote for the former vice president in the Nov. 3 election, while 38 percent sat with Trump. In Michigan, the survey surveyed 812 likely voters in Michigan from August 16 to August 19 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.44 percentage points.
Biden also has a 10-point lead over Trump in Wisconsin (49 to 39 percent); a nine-point lead in Arizona (47 to 38 percent); an eight-point lead in Florida (49 to 41 percent); and a seven-point lead in Pennsylvania (48 to 41 percent).

In comparison, Trump holds the advantage in North Carolina because 46 percent said they would vote for him, while 44 percent voted for Biden.
According to the poll, 856 likely voters were surveyed in Arizona, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.35 percentage points; 967 in North Carolina, with an error limit of 3.15 percentage points; 1,280 in Florida, with an error margin of 2,874 percentage points; 1,006 in Pennsylvania, with an error limit of 3.09 percentage points; and 672 in Wisconsin, with an error limit of 3.78 percentage points.
The poll also found a Biden who received his approval ratings across each state in his decision to elect California Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate. In Arizona, 48 percent said they approved it compared to 28 percent who said they did not.

In North Carolina, 43 percent said they approved and 31 percent said they rejected; in Florida, 51 percent approved it and 25 percent said the opposite; in Pennsylvania approved 49 percent and 27 percent said they rejected; in Michigan, 48 percent said they approved it and 26 percent said they did not approve it; and in Wisconsin, 43 percent said they approved it and 24 percent said the opposite.
In addition to Biden having an advantage over Trump in the five major battlefield states, several recent national polls have conducted the former vice president ahead of the race.
A separate interview conducted by The Economist/ YouGov found Biden leading by 10 points, with 50 percent saying they would vote for him if elections were held today, compared to 40 percent who voted for Trump. The Economist/ YouGov surveyed 1,500 American adults from August 16 to August 18 and the survey has an error margin of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.
