Best lip syncs of season 5 ranked

Now that iconic queen Shea Couleé has been crowned the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 5, it’s time to look back on the lip syncs of the season from worst to best.

Unlike the above All the stars In the seasons when the top two queens of the week would go head to head in a lip sync for your legacy, a lip sync killer was tapped every week to act against one of the week’s best ladies.

Lip sync killers are former queens who are known to have memorable performances or to win a large amount of their lip syncs during one season, eliminating many of their fellow queens.

Note: This list will not include the final lip sync against Couleé, Miz Cracker, and Jujubee.

7. Miz Cracker vs. Kennedy Davenport – “Fantasy”

Nothing was worse this season than seeing Davenport, one of the franchise’s most praised artists, be relegated to playing a country song. And it’s not like country songs can’t be played in the drag race, they can and some of them even fit perfectly! But in the words of Alyssa Edwards, there was something about Rigga Morris here!

6. Shea Couleé vs. Vanessa Vanjie Mateo – “Open your heart”

Although this was not a “bad” lip sync per se, but many fans simply couldn’t get over why Miss Vanjie was brought back as a killer, as she is not considered a lip sync killer in the fandom. She didn’t either bad in acting, but Couleé clearly beat her and won this match easily.

5. Jujubee vs Monét X Cambio – “Jugo”

Jujubee may have been a lip sync killer in any other season, but this time, she didn’t know the words for Lizzo’s “Juice”. Still, it was a fun time and the performance of Monét X Change made us realize that she’s actually a lip-syncing killer, even if we were initially confused by her appearance. After this, I’m sure a lot of viewers looked for her season 10 performances and. All Stars 4, including its iconic fake split from the first.

4. Miz Cracker vs. Roxxxy Andreews – “One Last Time”

In general, this lip sync was not that exciting from a broad perspective … but Roxxxy Andrews was here to make it clear that he was going to make an impact on All Stars 5! She came prepared with all the gags and literally overshadowed everything Miz Cracker had to offer.

3. Miz Cracker vs. Morgan McMichaels – “Where have you been?”

There is a conspiracy theory on Reddit that this lip sync was shot twice because the show’s producers wanted it to be a tie when McMichaels was clearly going to be the winner. Anyway, it is clear that she was the best at this and it is still strange that both of them have been given a victory. Let’s face it, McMichaels was so good it made us forget that she’s not really a lip sync killer.

2. Shea Couleé vs. Alyssa Edwards – ‘Neutron Dance’

Alyssa Edwards delivered such a rare and seemingly low-energy lip sync (for her) that she led fans to believe she was paid for losing this matchup. However, this cannot take away from the fact that Couleé left it all on stage and performed this song, making up for how strange this lip sync may have seemed.

1. India Ferrah vs. Yvie Interestingly

The first lip sync of the season was the best. This lip sync is RuPaul’s Drag Race at its best. Though not a “killer”, Oddly has given the franchise some memorable lip syncs. The season 11 winner appeared as if she had something to prove and so did India Ferrah. Unfortunately, Ferrah couldn’t keep up with Oddly, but wow, it was great.
