Winners of “America’s Got Talent” Kodi Lee and Mat Franco came back when eleven acts were five – and boy did this one!
Once again, Kelly Clarkson was on board to fill in Simon Cowell, and she was joined by a couple earlier “America’s Got Talent” prize winners to help the show complete an hour-long episode to open five names.
Speaking of those five names, we had our predictions from the previous night to see if we (which we mean you) are right. We predicted that you would advance Feng E, Double Dragon, Archie Williams, Roberta Battaglia and Simon & Maria.

We got it almost exactly, but then you made it so badly wrong and made a heartbreaking face-off that we would never predict, and absolutely do not want to see.
Again, the results are done in too complex a way. Actions one, two and three go forward automatically. Then four, five and six fight it out for the live Dunkin ‘Save. Dan the remaining two acts among those three against the judges who fill that last slot.
Whew! There are so many ways to move forward, it makes it even harder to predict, and easier to have your heart broken. Is that why it happened last night?
Along the way, we were treated to two triumphant winners returning to the stage that made them. Magician Mat Franco blew everyone away with three incredible “coincidences”, while reigning champion Kodi Lee left us a softer side.
Who do I think I am? You asked. That, I have spent almost a decade of my life as a sweat and bleeding to the music as a dancer. From a young boy who learned a shuffle-ball change to performances with the St. Louis Ballet Company, I have experienced the ups and downs of one of the most difficult physically demanding sports on the planet. During this time I was also a member of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra, as well as a gymnast, writer and cartoonist. I had a lot more energy in my young years. And I have spent the last eighteen years analyzing and criticizing reality competition programs for various media publications. I have this.

FILLER
Mat Franco
The first wizard to win ‘AGT’ came back from the theater named after him in Las Vegas to blow Heidi and Kelly’s thoughts away with some impressive card arrangement. It was a well-laid-out trick, setting up the premise with what looked like simple manual handwriting, but escalating the same premise in truly mind-blowing theater. He has a great sense of humor about him and helps you really get along with him when things work out – and they always do!
Kodi Lee
The reigning “AGT” champion came back with a whole new atmosphere and sound, but the same incredible talent. We saw a softer side of Kodi Lee when he took Finneas’ Break My Heart Again, but the incredible voice was undeniable. It was a choice and Kodi remains an absolute masterclass.
THE RESULTS
Dunkin ‘Save
Brett Loudermilk, Feng E and Double Dragon were the three acts that came home in fourth, fifth and sixth in voices. Of course, we feel that Brett should be the one to lose because we had the other two as ours TOP 2 actions.
Seriously, what a show you guys saw, those acts killed Tuesday night!

Top 5
Of the remaining seven acts, Terry first produced Archie Williams, Bello & Annaliese Nock and Michael Yo. Immediately we were afraid that our prediction of Michael was missing because of that weak start to his set came true.
Of course it went Archie Williams.
Next it was time for Frenchie Babyy and Shaquira McGrath to tackle the music. We did not have either in the semi-finals, but we also know that America loves singers and acts that are more frequent and well known.
That said, Shaquira McGrath’s first audition was a revelation that we can not be too crazy.
Roberta Battaglia, Pork Chop Revue and Simon & Maria were the last trio to step forward and learn their fate. Our ranking should look this place to Roberta, who is truly a remarkable singer. But she would also mark the third singer out of the three as Americans TOP 3. Did you really do that?
Nothing like predictability, though Roberta Battaglia is an amazing vocalist at such a young age.

Then it was time for the Dunkin ‘Save Acts, Brett Loudermilk, Double Dragon and Feng E. To redeem our predictions for the most part (to get at least four out of five), we need Brett to get into this and that next round of eliminations.
That, of course, was agreed upon by America Brett Loudermilk to measure everything.
How are the best two acts of the night for last place going forward? It was up to the judges to move forward, and we could hardly stand up for the one who did because the other went home. Such an injustice!
Okay, we left, we’re still excited for Double dragon, because we not only love them, but we love everything they represent.
But we can still be bitter that the most talented performer at night leaves the competition one way or another.
“America’s Got Talent” airs on NBC on Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 p.m.
