Bernie Sanders’ CNN interview was repeated by Skype ringtone


Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Was interrupted several times by what sounds like a Skype ringtone during a virtual interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.

Sanders sought the choice of former Vice President Joe Biden of running mate, sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., And other topics to discuss when he was interrupted four times by the ringtone.

“I think you’ll get a call. … Yes, I can hear you, I think someone’s calling you,” host Jake Tapper told Sanders.

Sanders seemed uneasy by the sound and kept talking.

“I think you have an urgent phone call – hope all is well,” Tapper said when Sanders quit.

Sanders is now throwing his full support behind Biden, his former rival in 2020, in the general election. Sanders will speak Monday on Day One of the most virtual Democratic National Convention.
