Affleck will be the second Batman in talks of being in The Flash, after reporting that Michael Keaton, who played Batman in the Tim Burton films, will also resume his role for the film.
The Flash will be a standalone film featuring Ezra Miller’s version of the character, which first appeared in Justice League. After multiple directors and creative teams, It and It Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti leads the production with a story based on the 2011 Flashline storyline from DC Comics.
In Flashpoint, Barry Allen uses his powers to attempt the murder of his mother. However, he messes with the timeline and creates an alternative future, including Thomas Wayne Batman becoming after the death of his son Bruce, while Martha becoming The Joker. The exact plot for The Flash is not yet known, and seeing multiple Batmans return after all is likely, the film is likely to deviate from the comics.
