Sources have confirmed that Ben Affleck will return in the coming as Batman Flash film that Warner Bros. brings into production. It’s going to be a comeo role. And, yes, Affleck will play the Dark Knight alongside Michael Keaton’s Batman from the 1989 Tim Burton movie, in what is paid for by Flash director Andy Muscietti as a “substantial” part. The Flash is scheduled for release on June 3, 2022. Ezra Miller, who played Flash Justice League, played the title role.
Despite being involved in early development on Matt Reeves’ The Batman, Affleck stepped away from reprising the role in that film in January 2019, as we first told you.
Affleck apparently got the script for The Flash at the end of last week and agreed to steer to the project.
