Well, here’s something surprising – Ben AffleckBatman will be back for The Flash. The film is said to deal with the multiverse, and it was previously reported that Michael KeatonThe Batman would be seen in some capacity in the film. Now, in line with the multiverse’s topsy-turvy rules, it looks like Affleck’s Batman is involved as well.
We previously reported the news that Michael Keaton’s Batman would be back for The Flash, news that surprises almost everyone. But it seems like the surprising news about The Flash is right at the beginning, because Vanity Fair says it’s Ben Affleck’s Batman ek back for the movie. How can there be more than one Batman in a movie? I’m good, The Flash is said to draw on the Flash point comics run, in which the multiverse goes. So you can expect Affleck’s Batman and Batman from Keaton to both interact with each other Ezra Miller‘s Barry Allen, AKA The Flash.
“[Affleck’s] “Batman has a dichotomy that is very strong, which is his masculinity – because of the way he looks, and the impressive figure he has, and his jawline – but he is also very vulnerable,” he said. The Flash managing director Andy Muschietti. ‘He knows how to deliver from the inside, that vulnerability. He just needs a story that brings him that contrast, that balance. ”
Muschietti added:
‘He’s a very substantial part of the film’s emotional impact. The interaction and relationship between Barry and Wayne of Affleck will bring an emotional level we have not seen before. It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but its characters are more related than we think. They lost both mothers to murder, and that’s one of the film’s emotional ships. That’s where the Affleck kicks in Batman. ”
Muchietti also called Affleck’s Batman “the baseline” and “part of that unaltered state before we jump into Barry’s adventure.” This makes it sound like the movie will start with Batl from Affleck, only to end with Batman from Keaton. Full details about the part of Keaton are not yet known, but Muschietti confirms that the actor has a ‘substantial’ role in the film. Other rumors suggest that Keaton’s Batman could turn into DCEU’s Nick Fury – a mentor figure who appears in other films.
As before The Flash, Muschietti says, “This film is a bit of a hinge in the sense that it presents a story that implies a uniform universe where all the cinematic iterations we’ve seen before are valid. It’s inclusive in that sense. that it says that everything you have seen exists, and everything you will see exists, in the same unified multiverse. “
This is all pretty damn cool, I have to admit. I love the idea of seeing Keaton’s Batman again, and although I’m not Batman v Superman of Justice League, I think Affleck did a good job as Batman / Bruce Wayne.
The Flash is set to run in theaters June 3, 2022. We will learn more about the film during the DC Fandome this weekend.
