Video footage released of an incident at a Wendy’s in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday saw a customer climb through the restaurant’s drive-through window, throw various items at workers and try to grab the cash register – which he was forced to drop as employees respond to the drama.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office shared footage of the incident on Facebook. The suspect has been identified as 26-year-old Kelvin Barnes, according to the post.

In the footage, it appears that there are several other young men in the car with Barnes, who spotted the incident. One of them appears to be trying to push Barnes out of the window after Wendy’s staff locked him out.
“A Wendy employee told deputies that Barnes and his unidentified passengers had become strangers in placing their order and got out of their car,” the Sherbor’s Office of Hillsborough County wrote on Facebook. “This surveillance video shows Barnes reaching into the Wendy’s window to throw things and grab the cash register. Barnes loaded the cash register and left in a gray 2020 Nissan Maxima with a Tennessee plate. ”

Police later added that the car was a rental, and the rental company is currently filing a “return report” with the Tampa International Airport Police Department. “Barnes has a driver’s license in Georgia and no local address known,” police added.
Employees of the restaurant said they did not know why Barnes was bickering while placing his order, Fox 13 reported.
