Beatles manager Brian Epstein Biopic in process

Brian Epstein, the famous manager of the Beatles, who is often called “the fifth Beatle”, will be the subject of a biographical film, Variety reports. Director Jonas Åkerlund has been chosen to direct the next Midas Man.

He won Grammys for his work on Paul McCartney. Live kisses and Madonna’s The tour of confessions concert movies and Madonna’s “Ray of Light” music video.

“The Brian Epstein story has everything I’m looking for in a story … it’s about Brian’s uniqueness to me,” Åkerlund said in a statement to Variety. “I love that Brian seemed to know at every turn what no one else knew, saw things no one else saw. His vision was amazing, he created a culture that did not exist. The film is more like running through Brian’s mind and what it was like to be him than how one thing led to another chronologically. I want to bring it back to life. “

Epstein became the manager of the Fab Four after they signed a contract with him in 1962. Epstein remained the manager of the Beatles until his death in 1967.

Midas Man will be shot in London, Liverpool and the United States. Its launch is scheduled for next year.
