Bear wanders in the shops in California, leaves with bag of tortilla chips, video games


Bears also need comfort food.

A brown bear apparently coveted junk food crawled into a California grocery store and left with a bag of Tostitos chips in its mouth, as seen in video footage from the store.

The video was recorded Tuesday night at a Safeway grocery store in Kings Beach on Lake Tahoe by a woman named Adina Baidoo who walked out of the supermarket at about 9.30pm when she witnessed the sighting, according to CBS sources. KUTV 2.

Another shopper apparently screamed when Baidoo almost (and unknowingly) walked outside with a trash can. Baidoo then took the video of the animal eating trash from what appeared to be a safe distance away.

“This real bear, right there, where I almost ran into it, went to Safeway and decided … that he will shop,” Baidoo says later in the video, pointing her camera in his direction.

Baidoo soon made it back to her car and went on to take two more videos of the bear, who was then shopping in the grocery store. The latest video clip shows the bear grabbing a bag of chips and crawling back.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.
