Monday’s episode of Raw was a great night for Sasha Banks as she was able to win the WWE Raw female title.
She did so when she beat Asuka for that from Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center on the US network.The finale saw SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley attack Kairi Sane in the backstage area.
As a result, Asuka decided to leave the match to save her friend. Due to the stipulation to go along with the contest, Asuka lost the championship by count and Banks received the title.
Bayley and Banks now have two titles in addition to the Women’s Team Champions.
Statistics and WWE information on the Twitter account pointed out that Bayley and Banks are now the fifth duo in WWE history to hold singles titles while they are Tag Team Champions.
Other teams that have done the same include Triple H and Steve Austin, Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels, Owen Hart and British Bulldog, and Ken Shamrock and Big Bossman. You can see the tweet here:
