Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona score: Barca historically humiliated by Bayern in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League

Bayern Munich are now just one match away from competing for the Champions League trophy after a decisive 8-2 victory against a toothless side of Barcelona in the quarter-finals. They will expel the winner from Manchester City and Lyon for that very opportunity.

Five of the possible 10 goals scored in this game were placed in the back half of the net from what looked like an exciting opening for this game. Thomas Muller grabbed an early one for his side, and Barcelona were able to equalize through an absolute goal from an own goal by David Alaba. But that was the last bit of brilliance in the first half that would favor the La Liga side. A collection of three goals from Bayern Munich followed quickly.

It did not get better in the second half, as Bayern just played with their prey in the last 45 minutes. Although Luis Suarez was able to pull one back, the German squad responded with four more own goals to dig their opponents deeper and deeper into the ground.
