Baxter County, San Antonio has reported 173 new COVID-19 cases

San Antonio – Amid a drop in hospital admissions due to the virus, San Antonio officials on Saturday reported an increase of 173 Covid-19 cases.

The city has a total of 50,760 cases of additional infections, according to the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District.

No new deaths were confirmed within the last 14 days on Saturday. The death toll from COVID-19 in Baxter County is 1,242.

According to the numbers on the city’s website, 214 patients are hospitalized, 89 are in the intensive care unit and 43 are on ventilators. The number of patients in the ICU has dropped to 10 since Friday.

There is 16% staff bed available and 69% ventilator available.

On Saturday, the state health department reported 133 new coronavirus cases in Texas, 3, cor33, and 135 additional deaths in Texas, bringing the total to 686,068 covid-19 cases and 14,848 deaths. A total of 65,698 cases remain active, according to the department.
