Bang & Olufsen promises 38 hours of battery life on a charge, even when ANC is on. It includes four speech microphones for extra call clarity, with advanced microphone noise reduction that improves clarity while reducing background noise.

Of course, the H95s are built with top materials, including a brushed aluminum frame, lambskin earmuffs and a leather headband. With special swivel hinges, they fold flat in a small format to fit in the aluminum carrying case – with matching textiles inside, of course.

The ear pad design in soft memory foam makes “good contact with the skin”, and offers extra passive sound ignition on top of the ANC. It also comes with aluminum discs on each side “inspired by the focus rings on the lenses of high-end cameras,” to control ANC, volume and sound transparency.

All these luxury features (and marketing) do not come cheap. The Beoplay H95 headphones will arrive on September 10 in select retailers and Bang & Olufsen stores for $ 800, or £ 700 in the UK. Prior to that date, the company sold a limited run of 95 number pairs (celebrating its 95th anniversary) beginning today. It did not mention where you can find them, nor at what price.
