Baltimore Ravens delete WR Marquis Brown’s post-game tweet

Owings Mills, Mo. – Baltimore Ravens receiver Marquis deleted a serious postgame tweet after “Honey Hollywood” Brown texted coach John Harbaugh about it.

In Sunday’s 28-24 defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Brown was upset about being a career target twice. He dispelled his frustration an hour after the game by tweeting: “What does it mean to be content (never !!) when you never use them?”

Harboff reached out to Brown, and deleted the tweet later Sunday night.

“I promise you, we’re trying to use all of our people; he knows that,” Harboff said Monday. “[He’s] Maybe a little disappointed, but he’s not a selfish person. I don’t believe it’s for a second. If he had, he wouldn’t have played as hard as he did or he’s a nice guy who’s around the building every day. So, I have a lot of faith in him, and the fact that he took it off, I appreciate it. “

Brown, picked in the first round a year ago, grabbed Lamar Jackson’s 3-yard touchdown pass for his only welcome on Sunday. He leads the Ravens with 27 catches this season, but his 379 yards are 33rd in the NFL.

This has been a disappointing start for Brown, who has high expectations after a year away from foot surgery. He raised 23 pounds in this se fission ason and worked with his cousin and former All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Harboff said he had not spoken to Brown until Monday.

“I’ll tell you this, he played the game like a soldier,” Harboff said. “He was fighting a very hard fight there – blocking the roads and running and he apparently caught a big touchdown. [and] Almost a second before that so, I like the way he fought. I do not disagree with the fact that if he says he is a soldier. “

Jackson and Ravens have struggled to get their passing game on track. Baltimore averages 179.9 yards per game, ranking 31st in the NFL.
