Updated, 10:11 p.m. Overwhelmed once again today by some of the big-name names for the acute lack of black members in Hollywood, Hollywood responded by reiterating its earlier commitment to do more at the Golden Globes this week through Hollywood’s Foreign Press Association.
“We have previously published this statement from the FFPA, and are committed to changing that,” Globes said in a statement. Angered the organization for its lack. Diversity. “We will also address this in our show on Sunday,” he added, giving the post a sensational detail.
With a hybrid show of live and virtual presenters and nominees, the 78th annual Golden Globes is co-hosted by Tina Fee on the East Coast and Amy Pohler on the West Coast. The event is live on NBC at 8pm ET / 5 PM PST.

Preview, 6:42 pm: Almost here with the Golden Globes, Twitter was shocked on Friday and wished that the organization that founded the event was not a black member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and had not been for the past 20 years.
After a weak acknowledgment of the issue released yesterday by the HFPA, the reality of the situation is that Avar Dewar, a past Globe winner, Sterling K. Brown, Jude Apato, Shonda Rhymes, did not sit well together. Lovecraft country‘Jurni Smollett, Patton Oswalt and dozens of others who weighed in to express their displeasure on social media, which cast a big shadow on social media.
“Cosmetic fixes are not enough,” Rehms, Carrie and Washington Washington and Alyssa Milano tweeted as they and others expressed their displeasure over the image of the tortured award and described the problem: “The Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Not a single black member out of 87. ”

The police killings of George Floyd and Brona Taylor were fueled by protests during the summer and the HFP has not taken action after a growing focus on composition diversity in Hollywood and across the country.
“A lot of crazy talk about the Golden Globes and the Hollywood Foreign Press, but this is horrible,” Apato said.
