The two suspects who brutally beat a 48-year-old man on the train reported to the police on Saturday.
As reported by “ORF Kärnten”, the two wanted men from the ÖBB train surrendered to the police. They are a 26-year-old German living in St. Veit an der Glan and a 22-year-old man from Germany. During the discussion, the older assailant struck the victim’s head several times with his fists. The two men appeared loose.
The incident occurred last Wednesday around 10:10 pm on the train from Villach to St. Veit an der Glan – reported “Today”. A 48-year-old man from Carinthia was sitting on the train when he noticed that two young women were not wearing mouth and nose protection.
Brutally beaten victims
When the two women began to remove the attached information stickers, the 48-year-old spoke to the women to prevent further damage. At that point the two men got involved in the conversation and behaved extremely aggressively towards the 48-year-old, who later withdrew.
However, the two men followed him, beat him and left him with scratches and abrasions on his upper body. In addition, the two perpetrators took his backpack from him. The 48-year-old man was injured and needed medical treatment.
