Zadic did not want to openly criticize either the Interior Minister, Karl Nehammer, or the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the Fight Against Terrorism (BVT), which is subordinate to the interior department. Instead, he stated that potential threats should be monitored “more closely” and that there should be an expansion of judicial control. In this context, he also welcomed the announcement by his government colleague Nehammer to reorganize the BVT.
