The Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) announced on Wednesday the line-up for the World Ski Flying Championships in Planica. Having survived the crown infections, top jumpers Stefan Kraft, Gregor Schlierenzauer, Michael Hayböck, Philipp Aschenwald, as well as Clemens Leitner and Timon-Pascal Kahofer made it to shortlist for the title fights in Slovenia that began on Thursday with the individual classification.
Head coach Andreas Widhölzl wants to appoint his team of four after the first two training sessions. There are no headlines at the moment, but Kraft, Hayböck and Aschenwald had done “a certain amount of work up front” with their results at Wisla.
Daniel Huber, on whose account ÖSV’s two podium finishes in individual competitions this season, missed the World Cup due to his quarantine. Huber and three other athletes tested positive for Covid-19 at the World Cup in Nizhny Tagil (RUS) last weekend.
